About Us

Chris De Jesus was born in New York City in 1958. As a child, Chris showed a special interest in art. By the age of 12, he was painting and exploring different art forms. Then someone put a 35mm camera in his hands. Soon after, a friend invited him to his black and white darkroom. It was at that moment, when he saw the first black and white images emerge from the developing tray, that Chris was captivated with photography.

The year was 1973 and Chris was on the path to his future career. At the age of 14 he won his first photo contest. This memorable event launched him into professional photography. At 19, he shot his first wedding and immediately fell in love with people. His love for people has never faded, and for the last three decades he has shared his passion of photography with all of those at his reach.

In 1984, Chris married his long time girlfriend Maritza, who immediately joined the studio and became his greatest fan and inspiration. In 1989, they moved to Central Florida where they continued providing photography services. Their studio is located in Brooksville, Florida on 2.5 acres of landscape and open land, providing excellent natural surroundings for brides and family portraits.
